Do you not have plans for the break? Are you fond of music festivals? If you said yes, you can add the Left of the Dial alternative music festival to your calendar! EUC students will get access to the festival by volunteering just one shift and helping out the venue!

About the Festival
Left of the Dial is an international showcase festival where new talents have the chance to upstart their careers as artists. Showcase includes various types of pop music and gives a chance for the artists to play at least two sets. This way, artist get to meet with their audience and the organizers without rushing or missing out, creating a sense of community the festival is known for.
Your Role
As a volunteer, you will keep the festival running and help it thrive. As an EUC volunteer, you will be treated to a free pass for the entire festival in exchange of one shift of volunteering. So do not forget to add that you are from EUC in the sign-up form. (Add ons may require tickets) ⭐️
You can choose one or a combination of tasks:
Scanning tickets at Eendrachtsplein; catering for Dine Like a Star; hosting, crowd control, wristband checking, and helping the location manager.
The shifts are officially divided as below, but as EUC students, you will be expected to volunteer for 3-4 hours.
Oct 21st - Wednesday: 16.00 - 23.00
Oct 22nd - Thursday: 11.00 - 17.30 / 16.00 - 23.00 / 18.00 - 01.00
Oct 23rd - Friday: 11.00 - 17.30 / 16.00 - 23.00 / 18.00 - 01.00
Oct 24th - Saturday: 11.00 - 17.30 / 16.00 - 23.00 / 18.00 - 01.00
To get a more specific (shorter) shift, you can give your availabilities in the forms, and the organizer will reach out to make it more specific! Make sure to mention important info and specificities (such as “I’m really only available Thursday from 12.00 until 16.00”, or “I’d like to work with [friend’s name]”) at the last question of the forms!

There are multiple venues (indoors) all across Rotterdam. You can find the timetable showing the locations and the artist here.
The organiser
The original music venue Rotown hosts at various venues in Rotterdam. With the bustling season of summer festivals, Rotown gives chance for rising artists to present themselves to bigger audiences with Left of the Dial.
