Feeding farm animals in the City Center!

Spend your afternoon with cute farm animals. As a volunteer, you will help feed animals and guide visitors around the farm. Important note: This volunteering opportunity works on a structural basis! On December 5th, you can join for the first time:)

This event:

Every day of the week, lovely volunteers from all around Rotterdam come to take care of farm animals! In the middle of the Wijkpark, near Gouvernedwarsstraat, lies the Dierenhof (Animal Court). The Dierenhof resembles a mini petting zoo, where local residents can interact with nature and animals.

The organiser:

The Dierenhof is run entirely by volunteers, a group of more than 20 volunteers from the Netherlands and abroad. Volunteers care for the chickens, goats, sheep, guinea pigs, rabbits, and cats 7 days a week. They also ensure everything around the Dierenhof is taken care of: regular veterinary checkups; orders for hay, straw, and feed, among other things; manure removal; and a filled litter tray.

Your role:

• Feeding the animals

• Cleaning the spaces

• Greeting people visiting

• Opening and closing

• Being with the animals!!!

Requisites

Availability to commit to it → structural volunteering (either once a week, once every 15 days)

Loving animals !!!

This session will only be the first, after that your shifts will be organised by Dierenhof based on your availability!
